Focus

Our aim is to promote and achieve sustainable energy in the greenhouse cultivation sector in North America.
In our opinion the way in which fossil fuels are used on this continent can be more efficient and more environmentally friendly.

In 2007 we worked on the installation of the first power plant at Soave Hydroponics in Kingsville – Ontario - Canada. For many years we have specialized in heat, gas and emission gas aspects and the electrical connection of what are known as Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants. These engines delivery total energy: the power is fed back to the network, the heat is utilized within the greenhouses, the CO2 is utilized for cultivation and the condensate is used as irrigation water for the plants.

These engines also run on alternative gasses such as bio-fuel, methane gas from waste, etc.. The possibilities are countless. In North America a range of government grants are available to promote the use of cleaner and sustainable energy.
To become the leading green economy in North America, Ontario has developed the GEA (the Green Energy Act) which will also provide grants for cleaner and more efficient energy.

We are aware that not every grower requires a CHP plant, however, energy can still be saved by installing Low Nox burners and associated hot water boilers, screens, improved buffer tank insulation using Foamglas under the base and/or by installing an extra heating network in the greenhouse so that it is possible to heat at lower temperatures.
